Crop PDF pages

Drag a box over the page to say how much of it you want to keep, or type the margins in points if you know them. The crop is written as the page box a reader is shown, so nothing on the page is deleted: the words outside it are still in the file, still selectable, and anyone can set the box back. Use one box for the whole document, or step through the pages and give each one a box of its own.

What it does

Crop PDF pages, at a glance.

  • Drag a crop box over a live preview of the page
  • Type exact margins, or mirror them back from the box
  • Use one box for every page, or a different box on each

This tool runs entirely inside your browser tab. The file never leaves your machine, using it needs no sign-up, downloading needs only a free account, and nothing you download carries a watermark.

Step by step

How to crop PDF pages

  1. Drop a PDF onto the page, or choose one from your machine. The first page appears with a crop box over it.
  2. Drag the box, or type the margins beside it. Choose All pages for one box throughout, or Each page to step through and crop them one at a time.
  3. Download the cropped PDF. Reset puts the box back at any point before that.

Questions

Crop PDF pages: questions and answers

No. Cropping sets the page box a reader is shown; the ink outside it stays in the file and stays selectable. That is what makes it reversible — set the box back and the whole page returns. If you need content genuinely gone, use Whiteout in the editor: it is a redaction, and what it covers is removed from the file rather than hidden under a rectangle.
