Edit PDF

Open a PDF and click any line of text to put a cursor in it, the way you would in a word processor. cherrypdf matches the font, size and spacing already on the page, so a correction sits in the paragraph instead of on top of it. You can also drop in a new image, highlight or underline a passage, draw freehand, and reflow the pages before you download.

What it does

Edit PDF, at a glance.

  • Retype text in place, keeping the original font and spacing
  • Replace a logo or photograph without moving the frame
  • Highlight, underline, draw, sign and leave notes

Editing happens inside your browser tab. When you download an edited PDF you opened with Keep the original, the original file and your list of edits are sent to our server over an encrypted connection so the PDF can be rebuilt with the file’s own fonts; the copy there is deleted as soon as the result is sent back. If the server cannot be reached, nothing is downloaded until it can be. A PDF you opened with Reflow into paragraphs, or a document you started from a blank page, is written in your browser.

Step by step

How to edit a PDF

  1. Drop a PDF onto the page, or choose one from your machine.
  2. Click any line of text to put a cursor in it and type. Add an image, a highlight, a signature or a note from the toolbar.
  3. Download the edited PDF. The original and your edits are sent to our server so the file can be rebuilt in its own fonts, and the copy there is deleted at once.
